Programme Synopsis

It is that time of the year again. The beat is up. The volume (of work) has been cranked up. The surge in coffee intake is prevalent. Yep, we understand. 

SCTP is once again partnering with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) to bring to members and the tax community the annual corporate tax compliance session. Be sure you are on solid ground in your knowledge of the various areas in tax compliance.  

Come get an annual refresher on common errors and learn from the mistakes of others! Be updated on the various new items that need to be taken into consideration for this year’s filing. Get sturdy with your or your clients’ tax returns so that you can groove to the beat of income tax and rock this tax season!

  • Grasp the common issues and mistakes
    - Unremitted foreign-sourced income
    - Tax exemption for foreign-sourced dividends
    - Foreign exchange gain or losses
    - Interest expense
    - Provisions
    - Capital allowances
    - Foreign tax credit
    - Transfer pricing
  • Know the tax updates
    - S14N deductions
    - Tax deduction for front-end fees
    - Tax treatment of gains or losses from sale of foreign assets 
  • Comprehend how you can improve on your tax compliance
  • Be familiar with the penalty framework
  • Know the resources available to taxpayers, tax agents and tax professionals
