Programme Synopsis

In today’s era where Goods and Services Tax (GST) discussions are increasingly dominated by digitalisation, e-invoicing and AI-driven compliance, understanding the origins and evolution of Singapore’s GST system remains just as important.

Fronted by SCTP’s Technical Experts Panel, our exclusive members-only series is back once again to bring accredited tax professionals together to exchange perspectives, challenge assumptions and deepen professional understanding through candid discussions.

In this second session of The Tax Exchange, join Accredited Tax Advisors (GST) Ms Gan Hwee Leng, Director at Alliance of Associated Advisors and Mr Koh Soo How, Partner, Executive Director at Koh SH & Associates as they share behind-the-scenes insights into how key GST policies evolved, and the thinking and nuances that shaped Singapore’s GST framework over the years.

Programme Outline

  • Gain a deeper understanding of how Singapore’s GST system and key policies have evolved over the years
  • Explore the rationale, nuances and behind-the-scenes thinking that shaped major GST rules and practices
  • Learn from the practical experiences and perspectives of seasoned GST practitioners who witnessed these developments firsthand
  • Engage in an open exchange of views and experiences with fellow accredited tax practitioners

SCTP reserves the right to vary any aspect of the event/ webinar should the situation warrant or due to unforeseen circumstances. This includes but not limited to the following: cancel the programme, change the venue, speakers, programme dates, fees and CPE hours. SCTP will take reasonable effort to notify participants of the changes.
