  • JS-SEZ, a strategic initiative by both Malaysia and Singapore seeks to transform the border region between Johor and Singapore into a premier economic hub. Whilst details on the JS-SEZ are still being worked through by both countries, some announcements have already been made by Malaysia. JS-SEZ will have nine flagship zones targeting eleven economic sectors and five priority sectors. A range of tax incentives to attract investments and talent into JS-SEZ have also been announced by Malaysia. We have put together a panel of experts including tax, legal and banking professionals from both Singapore and across the Causeway to share the latest insights on JS-SEZ as well as tax and legal related considerations when investing in the JS-SEZ.
