Accredited tax professionals kicked off the new year with fresh new takes on long-standing tax topics – Transfer Pricing (TP), Individual Tax, GST TP Adjustments and Missing Trader Fraud (MTF) .

Plunging straight into the year-end TP issues arising from COVID-19, Accredited Tax Practitioner (Income Tax) Ms Elis Tan, Transfer Pricing Executive Director, BDO Singapore illustrated the key concepts at the Transfer Pricing Issues to Note before FY 2020 Closing webinar.

On the topic of TP, tax professionals, too, had a go at dissecting OECD’s Guidance on TP Implications with Ms Adriana Calderon, Director and Co-founder of Transfer Pricing Solutions Asia.

Participants also took on the perennial issues of individual tax with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore, coupled with insights on the whole gamut of additional individual tax issues faced in 2020. In another session with the tax authority, many seized the opportunity to clear their doubts on GST TP adjustments and MTF to soar ahead in the new year.

Delivering more fresh insights on tax, SCTP continued its long-term platinum sponsorship of the National Tax Competition organised by Nanyang Technological University (NTU)’s Tax Advisory Club, showcasing the thrills of tax with a sharing from Accredited Tax Advisor (Income Tax) Ms Bernadine Huang, Group Tax Manager, Tes Amm Group. As a previous President of the NTU’s Tax Advisory Club, Bernadine enthralled the future generation of tax professionals with her multi-faceted tax career.
